Holiday Season Closures

Please be advised that the Municipal and Fire Administration offices will be closed as of Monday, December 23, 2024 at 4:30 p.m., for the holiday season. 

Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, January 2nd, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

The Waste Transfer Station on Drummond Line hours over the holiday season are:

  • OPEN: Saturday, December 21st - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • CLOSED: December 23 - December 27
  • OPEN: Saturday, December 28 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • CLOSED: December 30 - January 3

Regular Waste Transfer Station hours will resume on Saturday, January 4, 2024.

    Wednesday, December 25th collection 
    Cancelled and moves to Saturday, December 28, 2024.

  • GARBAGE - Wednesday, January 1, 2025 collection 
    Cancelled and moves to Saturday, January 4, 2025.
  • RECYCLING - Wednesday, January 1 collection moves to Thursday, January 2.
  • RECYCLING - Thursday, January 2 collection moves to Friday, January 3.
  • RECYCLING - Friday, January 3 moves to Saturday, January 4

Notice of Construction - Settlers Line - July-Sept 2024

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan will be continuing construction activities on Settlers Line (from County Road 2 to Lakeside Road) as of July 30th, 2024 – September 20th, 2024 (approx.).

Project Phase Details:

Some culvert repairs and road pulverization will be taking place over the next few weeks.  Once the pulverizing and culvert works are complete the road will be re-gravelled, graded and then a double surface treatment applied.

Traffic Impact: 

Settlers Line will be down to 1 lane between County Road 2 and Lakeside Road between Tuesday, July 30th and Thursday, August 1st, due to road pulverization and re-gravelling.
