Notice of Construction - Settlers Line

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan will be commencing construction activities on Settler’s Line (County Road 2 to Lakeside Road) as of June 3^rd, 2024 – September 20^th, 2024 (approx.)

Project Details: ditching, replacement/repair of some culverts and road resurfacing.  Once the ditching and culvert works are complete the road will be re-gravelled, graded and then a double surface treatment will be applied.

Traffic Impact: Traffic on this portion of Settlers Line will be impacted and lane closures can be expected.  Full road closures (local traffic only) may be necessary but will be temporary, (1 day maximum). 

Alternate Route: If residents or visitors would like to avoid construction and/or during road closures, Lakeside Road can be used as an alternate route.

Note: Prior to any entrance culverts being replaced or repaired, roads department staff will be directly communicating with the homeowners to ensure that they can get their vehicles out of the driveway without delay.
