Municipal notices during Canada Post labour disruption

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) union began a strike November 15th, 2024.  During this strike period, please review the following notices to help maintain continuity of service:

Property Tax Payments

Payments must be received on or before a due date to avoid penalty and/or interest charges. Failure to receive a bill does not remove responsibility for payment nor will late payment charges be removed from an account.

To inquire about your balance owing:

  • please contact Staff at 705-295-6852 Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or email taxclerk@osmtownship.ca.
  • In person: Municipal Office – 20 Third Street, Keene ON K9K 0A1

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan has a variety of payment options available to pay property tax.

  • At your local bank branch 
  • Through your Mortgage Company
  • Digital Banking (Mobile/On-line/Telephone) - under Bill payments with your Canadian Financial Institution.  
  • Enroll in one of our pre-authorized plans; Monthly, Installment Tax Due Dates.
  • Credit Card online through Paymentus.

Paperless billing options are available for.  If you would like to sign up, please complete the E-Billing Sign-Up Form.
