Latin American Heritage Month
The Latin American Heritage Act was assented to on June 21, 2018. This declares October as Latin America Heritage Month.
Latin American Heritage Month is intended to give opportunity to take time to remember and celebrate the Latin American community and their contributions to Canadian society.
Throughout the month of October, festivals, celebrations, and activities may be held to encourage celebration and remembrance of these contributions.
